• 1. The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs. 1 lakh
• 2. Applicant should be a widow/whose husband has been missing for an extended more than 7 Years/ Women over 50 years of age who have been deserted for more than 7 years and have not remarried
• 3. Applicant should not be a service pensioner / family pensioner.(Ex-gratia family pension/NPS of up to Rs.4000 is excluded.)
• 4. Applicant should not be a remarried person.
• 5. The applicant should not be an income tax payer
• 6. Recipients of any other social welfare pension can not apply.(Maximum of two pension including EPF) except Disabled pension
• 7. The applicant/family should not own more than two acres. ( Scheduled tribe is excluded )
• 8. No person shall be eligible for the pension, if the person applied for any Social Welfare pensions.
• 9. Applicant should not own/in family non-taxi, four or more wheeled vehicles (except Ambassador car) with engine capacity of more than 1000 cc
• 10. The applicant should not be under the protection of anyone else
• 11. Applicant should not be a recipient of salary / pension / family pension from Central Government / other State Governments.
• 12. No person shall be eligible if he/she resorts to habitual begging.
• 13. Applicant should not be a retiree from Central / State Public Sector Undertakings and a recipient of Pension / Family Pension
• 14. Applicant is not eligible if the person is admitted to a poor home.
• 15. Applicant should not be an applicant /Benificiery of two different local bodies
• 16. Can apply to the local body of permanent residence
• 17. Permanently residing within the Kerala State for a continuous period of not less than 2 years.
• 18. No Age limit
• 19. Applicant must be a destitute.
• 20. Applicant not be the owner / resident of the building more than 2000 Sq Ft

ii. Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (Disability 80% Above) - Rs 1100
